Garden Enterprises is a family run business that could be labelled a 'Mom & Pop' business.
Wally Richards (thats me) started Garden Enterprises & Information Ltd about 20 odd years ago after many years of owning plant shops, a garden center in Palmerston North Called 'Nature Spirits' and at that time we had three nursery sites where many of the plants sold in the garden center were from our own nurseries. I started the first ever Gardening Web site in NZ at www.gardenews.co.nz back in June 1996. As there were not many people browsing then Internet in NZ back then most of the visitors were from America.
As I did not have a program (they call them Apps now) so I studied other web site to learn the codes. Later I obtained a (APP) called Hotdog (company no longer exists but I still use this program when I can get around to updating the site.) The front page is a stark yellow but as it is an antique web site I keep it original. The site has many years of gardening articles and also the safety data sheets on all our products. I write a weekly gardening newsletter every week which you can email me or tick the box to go onto it.
I do a two weekly Radio Gardening Program with Rodney Hide which now days would be called Blogs all past shows are recorded on the web site Reality Check Radio though the internet.
